The Lent of Pope Francis
The first example that Pope Francis gives us is that of prayer. He often speaks of the priority of prayer and reminds us of how it is the most important thing in which we are engaged. Again, he continually asks personally for prayer for himself, as well as for us to pray for each other. He reminds us of the importance of taking time to be alone in the presence of God and to listen to God as he truly speaks to us during this time.

In his homily at a March 15, 2025, healing Mass at St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Delray Beach, where he is the pastor, Father Gonzales urged those in attendance, many of whom are Catholic health care professionals, to adhere to the teachings of Jesus from the day’s Gospel reading: “be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.”
Women from across the Diocese of Palm Beach participated in the 14th annual Catholic Women of Faith, Women of Action conference March 15, 2025, at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Church in Royal Palm Beach.
All are invited to the 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, diaconate ordination Mass for Diocese of Palm Beach seminarian Jedidiah Preble at St. Joan of Arc Church, 370 S.W. Third St. in Boca Raton.
At the request of the Holy See, Catholic dioceses worldwide have designated local cathedrals, other churches and shrines as local pilgrimage sites during the 2025 Jubilee Year. While none outside of Rome have designated Holy Doors -- as cathedrals did for the 2015 Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy -- these sites are still special places for prayer and a place where pilgrims may receive an indulgence if they meet certain requirements.
