Fellow Catholics from around the state, including a cohort from the Diocese of Palm Beach, gathered in Tallahassee to participate in this year’s Catholic Days at the Capitol from February 6 to February 8. Participants attended a legislative briefing on issues as well as scheduled meetings with their elected officials.
A breakfast on day two was hosted by the bishops of Florida with legislators and Catholic Days participants. The 3-day event ended with the Votive Mass of the Holy Spirit (Red Mass) celebrated by the bishops of Florida for the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government.
The Palm Beach cohort is organized by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach, through our Respect Life Ministry. Dr. Ellen T. Wayne, CEO of Catholic Charities participated in the event. Thank you to all who participated in this important event!
