Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach extends our heartfelt gratitude to the First Horizon Foundation for its generous grant of $5,000 in support of our Elder Affairs Guardianship program. This crucial funding will significantly enhance our ability to provide comprehensive guardianship services to vulnerable elderly individuals within our community.
Since 1978, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach’s Elder Affairs Program has provided compassionate guardianship services to incapacitated seniors 75% of whom are economically disadvantaged and lack adequate legal representation, protection, and defense. This program protects vulnerable elderly from victimization, exploitation, abuse, and neglect for the duration of a legal action and beyond, often until their death. Guardianship is a program that protects and exercises the legal rights of individuals whose functional limitations prevent them from being able to make sound decisions.
The First Horizon Foundation is the private charitable foundation of First Horizon Corporation. Founded in 1993 to serve the communities in which they operate, their Foundation has donated more than $100 million across their footprint.
