Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach, Inc. is pleased to renew our partnership with the Florida Pregnancy Care Network to serve pregnant women/families in need through the Florida Pregnancy and Parenting Support Service Program (FPPSSP). This July 2024, Contracts with FPCN were finalized for each of our Birthline Lifeline pregnancy care centers in Boynton Beach, West Palm Beach, and Fort Pierce as well as our Women's Pregnancy Solutions mobile units, which serve as pregnancy care centers on wheels with the ability to meet women wherever needed.   Services supported through the FPPSSP program include pregnancy testing, one-on-one compassionate options/lifestyle counseling, support for partners through the Fatherhood Program, social service and medical referrals for care, material assistance in the form of diapers, clothing, formula - and education/parenting classes.

Katherine Bowers, Director of our Birthline Lifeline Program, says, "Our partnership with FPCN through the FPPSSP allows us to provide increased services and support to the women, children, and families whom we serve on a daily basis. We are grateful to be a part of this pro-life network of agencies throughout the State of Florida offering life-affirming care to those in our community who need it most."

Combined contracts for fiscal year 2024-25 total $591,000 from FPPSSP to support services to pregnant women and their partners.

The Florida Pregnancy Care Network, Inc. offers a statewide alliance of pregnancy support organizations. As a private non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, FPCN provides financial and other support for member organizations, enabling and assisting them in their mission to support pregnant women in need in Florida.

The network consists of approximately 60 Florida pregnancy resource organizations, to include Catholic Charities Programs, providing direct services to pregnant women and their families at approximately 100 site locations. These services, including counseling, referral, material support, training and education, help meet the emotional and physical needs of pregnant women and assist them in preparing to parent their baby or place their baby for adoption.

Florida Pregnancy Care Network administers the Florida Pregnancy and Parenting Support Services Program (FPPSSP) for the Florida Department of Health. The purpose of the FPPSSP is to coordinate and enhance the efforts of local pregnancy resource organizations to increase the availability, quality and awareness of pregnancy support services that promote and encourage childbirth.
