On Thursday, April 24, 2025, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach participated in Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, a nationwide initiative dedicated to inspiring and educating the next generation about the workforce and community service. This special event allowed children to experience firsthand the meaningful work their parents and guardians do every day, providing them with valuable insights into career opportunities and the importance of giving back.
The theme for this year’s event, “Empowering Future Generations,” aligns perfectly with the mission of Catholic Charities—to serve people in need and create hope in all stages of life. Children who joined their parents at work on this day had the opportunity to engage in interactive activities, learn about various roles within the organization, and witness how faith and service intersect in daily operations.
The day’s activities included a guided tour of the Catholic Charities offices, where children met staff members and gained an understanding of the vital services provided, such as homeless prevention, disaster recovery, transitional housing, pregnancy support, refugee resettlement, immigration legal services, and elder guardianship.
Catholic Charities invited all staff members to participate in this enriching experience with their children, ensuring a memorable and inspiring day for all involved. As we remember this year’s Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, we remain committed to nurturing future generations with the values of faith, respect, service and compassion.
